CBN ground, spiral fluted with split point geometry. The spiral chip flute provides smooth running and high cutting performance. Non-breaking chips are removed particularly well. Conical shape facilitates retraction. Low friction resistance (smooth surface). Service life up to three times longer than a traditional step drill. Heat resistance: Up to approx. 600°C. Good all-round coating for general use.

The step drill is suitable for the most common materials: non-ferrous metal, sheet steel up to 4mm thickness, mild steel, thermoplastic and thermosetting plastics. Increase tool life considerably with Rotec cutting oil RS50 or Rotec cutting paste.
